Dr.
Naomi Crummey received her B.A. degree from The College of
Wooster, in Wooster, Ohio, and received her M.A. and Ph.D.
degrees from the University of Illinois at Chicago, both in
Nonfiction Writing.
As an expert in Composition, Dr. Crummey has taught a broad
range of courses such as introduction to college writing,
introduction to research writing, introduction to creative
nonfiction, topics in nonfiction writing, teaching college
writing, advanced fiction writing, and introduction to
literature.
In addition, Dr. Crummey has worked in two writing centers, one
at the University of Illinois-Chicago and another at
Northeastern Illinois University. She has served on writing
portfolio assessment and placement committees and has
collaborated with freshman writing instructors to incorporate
writing centers into their curriculum.
Dr. Crummey holds an appointment as the Coordinator of Freshman
Inquiry in the Communications Department at Blackburn College.
She also serves on the Assessment Committee and the Early Alert
Support Team. |
