The value of diversity is ingrained in the mission and objectives of Blackburn College.
The Blackburn College Statement of Mission includes the following: “The Blackburn community values critical and independent thinking, leadership development, respect for all individuals, and lifelong learning.”
This awareness of diversity’s importance is also apparent in the College’s educational objectives, one of which states: “A Blackburn graduate should be able to understand other cultures and other cultural frames or perspectives for understanding and interpreting experience.”
Diversity continues to be recognized as a critical element in establishing a rich and valuable educational environment that produces graduates who have achieved a wider educational experience and understanding.
