Exhibition Spaces There are three exhibition spaces on campus. The west wall of the Renner Gallery is glass. Opening receptions are especially nice in the evenings. The path to the entrance of the Visual Arts Center runs through the Whitaker Sculpture Garden. Both spaces are used for professional and student exhibitions.
Renner On the wooded and hilly south end of campus is the Renner Art Building. The brickyard in back with a newly built kiln each spring clearly marks the building as the ceramics and sculpture facility. Visual Arts Center On
the north end of campus, just beyond the new science building, is
the Visual Arts Center. The VAC is home of the two-dimensional arts
such as computer graphics, photography, drawing, painting and art
history.Our objectives are quite clear

Commitment Craftsmanship is paramount and holds equal value to concept. Art students are expected to work tirelessly in the studios outside of class.
As the art department looks forward, it stands on a long and rich history of successful graduates in the arts. With an average of 35 art majors at any given time students enjoy the intimacy of a small program with enormous work space. Testimonial
Seminars and Visiting Artists Artwork is produced for portfolios as well as an exhibition on campus in the junior and senior seminar courses. Portfolios should have no less than 20 outstanding pieces upon the completion of the BA. Visiting artists regularly visit the art department to lend insight into theories and techniques of art making.
