Athletic Training Facility

The athletic training room is located in the Dawes Physical Education Center, the heart of Blackburn College Athletics. The facility features a full range of supplies and equipment used for the prevention, evaluation, emergency care, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. It services all the men’s and women’s athletic teams, which include 13 Division III intercollegiate sports. It is equipped with a taping area, hydrotherapy area and rehabilitation area. In the athletic training room there are many instruments and modalities, which help athletes with rehabilitation, strengthening, conditioning, and overall physical stamina. The facility contains equipment such as hydrotherapy, electrical muscle and nerve stimulation, ultrasound, cold and heat therapy and a broad range of progressive resistance and functional rehabilitation equipment. It is the mission of Blackburn College Athletic Training to provide the highest quality of care for every student-athlete.
