Ryan Sackett

 

Ryan Sackett enters his second season as head coach at Blackburn College.

 

Prior to Blackburn, Sackett was the assistant coach and pitching coach at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri.  In the two seasons at Lindenwood, the Lady Lions accumulated a 71-42 record.

 

Before joining the collegiate ranks, Sackett gained experience at some high-powered high school programs in the metro-east area of St. Louis.  In 2007, Sackett served as the assistant coach and pitching coach at O’Fallon Township High school in O’Fallon, Illinois. 

 

Sackett, also served as an assistant coach in charge of pitchers at Belleville Althoff High School during the 2005 and 2006 seasons.  The highlight during his tenure at Althoff was a regional championship in 2005, only the third in school history at the time.

 

Sackett brings extensive experience from his playing days on the mens’ national fastpitch scene.  As a member of the Belleville Eager Beavers and Belleville Pete’s Blues teams, he has gained ten years of playing experience.

 

Sackett recently earned his M.B.A. from Lindenwood University and is also a 2001 graduate of Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville.

 

As a 1996 graduate of St. Louis University High School in St. Louis, Missouri, Sackett participated in football, basketball and baseball.

 

Sackett currently resides in Highland, Illinois and is engaged to Carey Piatt of O’Fallon.
