40 Student-Athletes Named To Winter
All-Academic Team

ST. LOUIS - Forty student-athletes have been named to
the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference
(SLIAC) All-Academic Team. The recipients were varsity
members of their school's men's or women's basketball
squad for the Winter 2008-09 season. Other selection
criteria include: (1) Minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point
average, (2) At least sophomore academic standing and
(3) Have at least one full year at current institution
(first year transfers and true freshmen are not
eligible).
Blackburn is proud to recognize that two of its own
athletes have been named to this honorable team. Both
have attributed a lot to their college and continue to
work hard. Tommy Baro and Megan Schultz are the two
recipients that were name to the All-Academic Team in
the SLIAC Conference.
Tommy is a senior and is from Aviston, IL. He is going
to be receiving his degree in Secondary
Education/Mathematics. He has played basketball at
Blackburn for three years and is going to be missed next
year. Megan is a junior and is from Sadorus, IL. She
will eventually be receiving her degree in Elementary
Education when she graduates.
We are all proud of both Tommy and Megan’s
accomplishments and we wish them the best of luck for
any of their future plans. Congratulations. |
