  • Are the Business classes at Blackburn College small?

    Yes, this allows business faculty to give more personal attention and assistance in development of the student. Smaller classes allow the faculty to discuss current developments in business while creating synergy between academics and practical business experience.
  • Does the business faculty have practical business experience?

    Yes, the business faculty has the experience necessary to help guide students in the career path that they choose. The business faculty is available to discuss preparations for graduate school. Blackburn College Alumni and other local business people come to class to discuss job opportunities and prepare students for a career path.
  • Are internships available?

    Yes, the business faculty is available to help students find internships. In addition, many local businesses offer internships to Blackburn students.

  • What Classes should I take to prepare myself for an Accounting/Business major at Blackburn College?

    The business faculty recommends that a student have 1 year of high school accounting (if possible), any course that may develop computer skills, and any course that will develop writing skills.
  • Is there any new and exciting news in the Business Department?

    The Business and Accounting Department enrollment numbers are continually increasing. Beginning the fall semester of 2003, Blackburn will offer a Marketing Major.
