Welcome to the Communication Studies program at Blackburn College. This program is designed to prepare students to succeed in either the academic world, or the professional world. With the general focus of a liberal arts education in mind, our Communication Studies program prepares students for continuing on to graduate school, or to successfully step into the corporate world after graduation. The program is designed to expose students to the academic study of human communication, including history, areas of emphasis, and current state of such academic inquiry. In doing so, the program shares many similarities with other academic disciplines in the Social Sciences and Humanities such as Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, English, Philosophy, and History.
