Non-Resident Student Request to Participate in the Work Program

Applicant Information

Non-resident students are not required to participate in the Work Program, but may request approval to participate. Just as with resident students, non-resident students that do participate receive a tuition reduction in exchange for working 160 hours (10/week) in a college assigned job, and are eligible to be hired and paid at the current minimum wage rate for up to an additional ten hours per week.

In order to be approved to participate non-resident students must commit themselves to aminimum of one full semester of working in the program, during which time they will be held to all the same work requirements, as a resident student (e.g. assigned to work where needed, cannot quit before end of semester, failure to meet work obligations could ultimately result in suspension).

If you wish to participate you must complete AND return this form along with a work application, HOWEVER, BEFORE DOING SO contact the Financial Aid Office and have them calculate your financial aid package as a non-resident in the work program and not in the work program to ensure that you do in fact wish to participate.
