Freshman Inquiry Adjunct – Fall 2012. Part-time adjunct instructor during the fall 2012 semester to teach two sections of WR 112, Freshman Inquiry II. This class is a continuation of Writing 111 with a particular emphasis on critical thinking and academic writing, including a multi-draft research paper. Masters required; Bachelors with professional experience considered. Doctoral work and previous teaching experience preferred. Screening of applicants will begin immediately. Classes begin August 22, 2012.
Professor of Psychology. This is a full-time, tenure-track teaching position beginning fall 2012. Ph.D. and previous teaching experience preferred. Responsibilities include teaching courses and supervising internships in counseling psychology, though other teaching assignments in support of the department may be expected. Additional courses are welcomed in the candidate's area of interest. The ideal candidate will also be prepared to work collaboratively with undergraduates on research projects, advise students and participate in the life of the college and the larger community. Professor of Spanish - Full-Time/Tenure-Track: Duties include teaching, advising, curriculum and program development, coordinating the academic-side of a student semester abroad, as well as chairing the Department of Spanish. Demonstrated excellence in Spanish language teaching at the introductory and upper levels is desired. Ph.D. in Spanish or closely related discipline required. Professor of Theatre – Full-Time/Tenure-Track:. This is a full-time, tenure-track teaching position beginning fall 2012. Duties include teaching, advising, mentoring student actors, directors, and technical workers, and directing a fall play and a spring musical theatre production. Demonstrated excellence in teaching musical theatre at the undergraduate level is strongly desired. The successful candidate will have the opportunity and challenge of continuing to build a growingTheatre program that is an integral part of a Performing Arts Department and help support a very successful regional theatre partner organization. MFA in Theatre considered, Ph.D. in Theatre or closely related discipline preferred. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
