 Welcome to the homepage of the Philosophy and Religion
Department at Blackburn College. We offer a minor in both
Philosophy and Religious Studies. In our courses we
challenge students to think critically about the important
and ultimate questions of life, but do so in an approach
that emphasizes the practical applications of those ideas to
everyday living. A quick look at the variety of courses we
offer will show you what we mean. In all our courses we seek
to apply classic insights with the best of current
scholarship and to encourage students to think creatively
and critically about these meaningful issues.
