Transfer Credit Guidelines
At Blackburn, we accept coursework from all regionally accredited colleges and universities. This includes almost all community colleges and most four-year institutions. We will carefully evaluate your transcript on a class-by-class basis, and transfer your credits into general education, elective credit and major coursework requirements based on their academic equivalency.
In order to qualify as a transfer student at Blackburn College, you must have earned a minimum of 12 semester hours of transferable credit at a regionally accredited institution with a minimum GPA of 2.0. If you have attended more than one institution prior to transfer, you must submit official transcripts from ALL colleges or universities previously attended. We will combine your grades and earned credits into a cumulative GPA for evaluation.
Blackburn College accepts up to 92 semester hours of credit from community colleges or four-year institutions. Your final 30 hours of your degree must be completed at Blackburn.
- Only courses with a letter grade of “C” or better may transfer into Blackburn College. (Pass/Fail courses are not accepted in transfer.
- Proficiencies earned at other institutions are not accepted
