Blackburn Partners with Give Something Back Foundation

CARLINVILLE – Blackburn College has been selected by the Give Something Back Foundation as a partner in the Foundation’s efforts to support disadvantaged young persons committed to academic excellence and the completion of a college education.

Created through a donation from Bob and Jill Carr, the foundation begins its relationship with sixth graders, providing academic mentors for each young student as he or she moves through junior high and high school.  Full Story

Leslie Richards-Yellen to Speak at Blackburn College

Leslie Richards-Yellen, will deliver Blackburn College’s 139th commencement address. Richards-Yellen is a partner in the Chicago law firm of Hinshaw & Culberston LLP, and is the firm’s first diversity partner. In her diversity partner role, Richards-Yellen has trained hundreds of employees in the company’s diversity policies and perspectives. Full Story
